G. Wesley Desatnik, age 77, passed away Monday, November 28, 2011.
He was a lifelong resident of the Northfield/Hudson area, and was owner of the Desatnik Construction Company for many years. Wes was a graduate of the Northfield-Macedonia School System, and while attending high school, he excelled in football, basketball and track. In 1978, he was among the first athletes inducted into the Nordonia High School Hall of Fame.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Lola Desatnik; sister, Donna Jean; and brother, Bill. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Marion; son, Jeff; grandsons, Brad and Kevin; great-grandchildren, Hailey and Carter Desatnik. Also surviving are brothers, Ken, David, Paul and Bruce and many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to Feed the Children, P.O. Box 36, Oklahoma City, OK 73101-0036 or a charity of choice.
A Memorial Service was held Friday, December 2, 2011 at 7PM at the Johnson-Romito Funeral Home in Northfield Center, Ohio, where friends were received from 5PM until service time.
